The Printshop @ Decatur is a custom apparel and print shop founded in May of 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. We are a Union Certified, Woman and Minority owned shop with over 20 years of combined experience in the commercial printing and apparel decorating industry.
When you come to The Printshop you walk into a nice, clean production facility with plenty of our printed samples on display. You get to be involved in the ordering and design process and communicate every detail of your order specifications face-to-face.
The moment you walk into our shop you will be greeted by our friendly staff at the front desk. Ordering printing is confusing enough. Allow our customer service print experts to take the headache out of the process for you. We encourage you to visit our location and learn more about how we can help your business succeed.
If you need over-sized graphics on display for a convention, meeting, or advertising your storefront, this option is for you. This method of printing uses specialty equipment that allows us to print on items with larger-than-normal dimensions that conventional printers can’t handle. Due to the large print area capacity this is a good option for big promotional items such as banners, car wraps, signage, and window wraps- for when you really want to stand out!
This printer also allows us to print and cut heat transfer vinyl for decorating apparel. Your vinyl options include glow in the dark, foil, glitter, holographic, reflective, patterns and so much more! When high quality vinyl is used it is hard to tell the difference between a screen printed garment when compared side by side. If applied correctly the vinyl will outlast the life of the garment. This is a great option for team uniforms, small runs, and parties or holidays!
Using these methods, we can print a wide array of marketing material such as business cards, brochures, flyers, post cards, door hangers, posters, etc. Each method has particular benefits depending on job requirements and the method used is determined on a case-by-case basis.
In digital printing the ink, or toner, is applied directly onto the printed piece using a four color CMYK process. There are much less set-up costs for this method, but the cost per unit is higher. Therefore, digital printing is a cost-effective option for short runs and on-demand jobs that require a quick turnaround time. This is also the method used if variable data printing is required.
Offset printing is the best option for high volume jobs, or those with greater detail and more specific color matching requirements. This method utilizes aluminum plates with etched images of the artwork to be transferred onto the printed product. Each color requires its own plate, which is why this method is more suitable and cost effective for very large runs. Offset printing gets its name from the fact that the ink is not applied directly to the sheet but rather transferred.
This method of printing allows us to quickly print jobs that require text, graphics, or images to be changed from one printed piece to the next. This method of printing enables “mass customization” of a single document—it allows us to print unique documents with customized messages for specific customers. This method was most often used for addressing but is now frequently used to personalize graphics or text so it’s more relevant to a specific audience – think EDDM.
This is a great way to really connect with your customers and make them loyal to your brand. A benefit of this type of customization is an increased response rate and response time. As we know, a piece of advertising mail that is not eye-catching gets tossed away immediately. Personalized marketing gets noticed!
This is perhaps our most exciting method of printing. We are able to print directly onto almost ANY substrate up to two inches thick and up to four feet by eight feet! Think glass, metal, wood, plastic, acrylic, leather, and more! With this method, the possibilities are endless; your creativity is the limit. We can make large signs and displays, custom boxes, leather menus, award plaques, cell phone cases, laptop covers, and much more.
The UV curing technology is what allows us to print on many different substrates with incredible detail. As the ink is dropped onto the substrate the UV light follows behind, immediately curing the ink. Since the ink does not get a chance to spread out as it is printed, the result is a nice, sharp printed product.
Direct-to-garment (DTG) is a digital printing method in which a printer adheres your electronic artwork directly onto the surface of your garment. This method is best for artwork that has lots of fine details or smaller jobs that require a quick turn-around time since there is minimal set-up.
Digital prints are more cost effective for full color designs, smaller runs, and one-time use garments. However, this method of printing requires much more time to produce the final product than screen printing does.
The maximum print area is 14” X 18”, but can be printed in landscape or portrait mode. With our industrial direct to garment machine we have the ability to print up to 45-70 shirts an hour, depending on shirt color.
Embroidery is the art of decorating fabrics and other materials with thread using a needle. This process can also incorporate beads, sequins, or pearls into designs. Today, embroidery is a highly computerized process which allows your creative digitized design to be stitched directly onto garments with embroidery software. However, you still need a master embroiderer to run the machine. Ours has over 20 of experience, so you can rest assured that our quality is unparalleled.
HTV is a super economical option for smaller runs. If high quality vinyl is used, the durability and feel is hard to tell apart from screen printing. This material comes in super fun patterns and designs such as neons, glitter, holographic, glow in the dark, foil, and more! This is a very popular option for sports apparel.
Graphic design is an essential component of successfully advertising your brand or business. The truth is, most customers come to us with no artwork ready for their marketing. That is why we believe it is essential to have an on-site graphic designer to help take your ideas from concept, to created.

3D modeling is a technique in computer graphics for producing a 3D digital representation of any object or surface. Layouts are brought to life on screen to help to visualize space, movement, access, measurements, etc.
Using parametric modeling software, we can create virtual 3D parts and assemblies that help communicate the idea of a product to clients, managers, or developers. 3D modeling is essential for product design and marketing.
3D models are used for a variety of mediums including video games, movies, architecture, prototyping, illustration, engineering, and commercial advertising.
3D printing is a popular application for 3D modeling as it allows precise control over the design. This process uses PLA plastics to complete a working prototype of a model and is the best way to prototype products you want to get to market. Currently, with our printer we are able to print items up to eight cubic inches.
The product design process rarely ever ends with the first prototype. 3D printing is one of the best and most economical options to build and visualize your product before the final draft is complete.
Even if you aren’t trying to design a marketable product, you can print a wide variety useful or decorative household items. Your creativity is the limit.
2D drafting and drawing is the process of creating and editing technical drawings, as well as annotating designs. Drafters use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop floor plans, building permit drawings, building inspection plans, and landscaping layouts. The most common request is working shop drawings complete with Bill of Materials, dimensions, and part detail callouts.
A blueprint is a plan or technical drawing usually documenting an architecture or an engineering design. More generally, the term “blueprint” has come to be used to refer to any detailed plan.
A schematic is a diagram, drawing, or sketch that details the elements of a system, such as the elements of an electrical or electronic circuit or the elements of a logic diagram for a computer or communications system.
- System layouts
- Process and Instrumentation drawings
- Working schematics
Finite element analysis (FEA) is a computerized method for predicting how a product reacts to real world forces, vibration, heat, fluid flow, and other physical effects. Finite element analysis shows whether a product will break, wear out, or work the way it was designed.
Complete photo-realistic renderings of models for brochures, pamphlets, component literature, billboards etc. Clear visuals can help highlight your design in a much more efficient way. These visuals look as real as the end product, allowing you to display an idea before any labor is put into creating that product.
